With the advancement of the country, the mindset of people has also changed. Now their thinking horizon has widened which is a very good sign for the forthcoming generations, but the society in which we live still considers women as inferior to men. How can this be justified? In this scenario, how can we say that we are developed?

On Women’s day i.e 8th March, a lot of drama takes place. Various shows on television are aired regarding the present condition and how to ameliorate the conditions were discussed. Some newspapers devoted the whole newspaper showing their respect towards women, but mere airing a show and devoting the whole newspaper to women to on women day will make their condition good? If it would have been so then the loathsome attack on women in the pub would have not took place, neither so many of brides would still be burnt for dowry. The answer is negative, it’s NO. Spreading awareness only on women day will not make things better, it has to be consistent. Awareness through any form of media can make a big difference. People must realize that women are the better half of one’s life and a holistic approach only will make things done and will make our country developed in a “complete sense”. Government’s must rise up to the occasion and should take certain initiatives to make things happen. Programs relating women self independence, safety, employment should be taken care of. Apart from all this governments must campaign spreading awareness about the needs to uplift the status of women. Youth of India can play a very important role in spreading awareness and aiding the government through NGO’s.

The complete holistic approach will only solve the problem and hence will make our India a better place for women, in every aspect.

Youth:- It’s Role in the Elections

We all know that India is a Youth Nation and hence in the development of this nation, the youth community here has to play a very pivotal role. Elections, anywhere does play a very important role in giving a country, state, city, institution, organizations… by providing a leader to them. A leader which is appointed by the general consensus is very much responsible for the betterment and development of the body for which he/she is chosen for. A bad leader will make things worse and a good leader will try to reach the pinnacle of betterment which in turn will make things better. Hence it is very necessary that we elect those persons as leaders who have the quality, the vision and motive to improve things. When it comes to General Elections, this matter becomes more important. Through General Elections, we chose those persons, in the hands of whom lies the responsibility of steering the country.

Youth in India needs to play very active and fruitful role in the forthcoming elections. India is banking upon youth’s not only as politicians but also as voters. Youth needs to come forward and should try to make the people aware of their character, their background, etc of the various players contesting to become leaders in the political arena. This will help the voters in choosing a good candidate for leadership. Rather than being lured by the sops offered by various candidates, youth should try to make more people aware of their voting rights and help them in their implementation. Apart from all this there are various things which youth can do regarding awareness, fairness of the elections. This will not only help in giving our country good leadership but will also propel our youth to new heights which they had never experienced before. Youth now must discard this notion that “POLITICS IS A DIRTY THING” and “GOOD PEOPLE DON’T GO IN POLITICS”. We all know that there is too much dirt in politics but someone has to come forward and clear the dirt out. Mere churning out of Engineers and Doctors, MBA’S from rich families is not going to make India progress. Remember 70% of working people are still employed in agriculture. There are various other things which I can give here but this will make this list just a manifesto of problems. People say, politics is not good as a career as there is too much of uncertainty but remember, Winston Churchill once said “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts”. The youth of India should actively participate in the politics if they wish to see a better India. A India where there is full employment, which is free of corruption, red-tape’ ism, discriminations and others. As I mentioned earlier, India is nation of youth, it’s only youth who can come forward and clear this dirt and make our politics dirt free so that India moves ahead with a new sense of “younginism”

What’s your Say???

Brain Drain from India:- A Problem worth to be Pondered

Brain Drain has been one of the biggest problems which India is facing right from it’s inception. India has been crying foul, repeatedly making promises to students that they will provide a better environment, good pay-packages, less bureaucracy but all in vain. Such promises can be seen only in the long political speeches of our politicians but in reality the conditions are worse. Thousands of students who complete their studies from major reputed universities and colleges such as IIM’s ,IIT’s and others move abroad for a better life…a life which offers them more financial gains, less bureaucracy, more freedom and etc, etc. Not only students who have completed their professional education from India are moving abroad but now even the students who wish to make a better life are pursuing their studies in foreign universities, the reason being better chances of employment, more variety of courses and every other thing which our ill-planned educational system fail to provide. Such are the conditions that due to lack of expert professionals India is availing the services of foreign people. Due to Brain Drain our country is becoming poor while the foreign countries are becoming rich through their expertise and their knowledge. In order to prepare a doctor, the Indian Government spends round about 25 lacs of rupees and in the preparation of an Engineer, the government spends 10 lacs rupees and when these same doctors and engineers go abroad to offer their services, India gains nothing but loses every money spent on their education.

Not only in education but even in other field, the situation is very poor. Businessmen of Indian origin are flourishing in America, Britain and others. Apart from business mens, Salman Rushdie, Amartya Sen, and others are enriching the foreign nations while making our country poor.

Actually the problem is that our governments have never given a serious thought to this problem otherwise this problem wouldn’t have become so gigantic in proportion. Corruption at all levels is the biggest impediment in the road of stopping brain drain. In India corruption is everywhere, from top to bottom and this severely hinders in stopping brain drain. A Businessman who wishes to establish a factory or business here has to grease the palms of the officers of every department of which he has to take permission. If the greasing is not done then it is nearly impossible that he would even succeed in opening the unit and not only here, even after the unit gets started he will need to give costly gifts to the officials of the respective department for the smooth functioning of his factory otherwise ‘anything’ can happen. He will even have to pay the local criminals so that they don’t prove to ‘dangerous’ for his factories….there are many more but I just presented a view…who would like to setup a factory here???why not instead go abroad and settle there, make a factory without hassles and tensions???

In India, the education system is unplanned. Same regular courses which offers no employment. What can a student do after completing B.A, B.Sc or B.Com???Nothing…lack of vocational courses make the scenario worst…but in foreign countries the educational system is well planned keeping in view the current demand of production and services industry. Who would like to be called as “Educated but Unemployed”??? but if you do a regular course here and you are doomed to be called so…such is the pathetic scenario.

As long as there is red-tapism, corruption, lack of professionalism, lack of recognition of good work, improved educational conditions and facilities, better pay-packages, imposing rules on students to offer services at least for some fixed time to the country… the malady of brain drain would exist. The Government needs to work on this grave problem otherwise a day will come when the Indian Government will realize the graveness of this problem but till then it would be too late…for everyone.

That was the stuff, but I would like to ask one question to everyone???We are born here, brought up here eating the food of India and one day we leave this country just for financial gains??? We desert of our country for this… I feel pity…no..it’s a shame, for everyone who wishes to serve in foreign nation just for financial, social and physical gains…and I feel so much hatred towards those father and mothers who so haughtly say, broadening their chest that ”My Son/Daughter is working as computer/software engineer/doctor and whatever …in America/Australia/England and others” In respect to these people, those people are much better whose son or daughter works as a peon in Municipality who are atleast serving for the welfare of the country.

The Youth of India needs to come forward. It should understand that only financial and physical gains does not matter. There is a responsibility of us towards our country too. Let us hold this responsibility bravely. Improve yourself and the conditions will improve. Youth is such a force which can give this youthful India the much needed direction of development. Let us enrich our land and not of others. Let us not see what the country has done for us, let’s see what we can do for our country…

Jai Hind.

What’s your Say???

India:-Poor “Masses”, Rich “Classes”

India is a country of variations...this is seen in all aspects...whether be it religion, weather, castes, rituals and various others...summing up in general it’s everywhere. The same trend is seen in the political arena too..one one side there are million of poor people,”the masses” who are living their lives in squalor...people who can’t afford two square meals a day..People who are ready to kill others for few bucks...there are people who fail to acquire the basic necessities of life...food, clothing, housing and others...on the other hand there are some people, few people who constitute “the classes”...people who enjoy every facilities money can provide...from expensive condos, cars, imported goods, magnificent parties and every other thing..You name it and they have...our politicians also come in this class...gone are those days when our political leaders lived a simple life, banning every other items of luxury. They advocated the use of “swadeshi” goods and represented the true India...Today the scenario has completely changed, our revered political leaders leave now chances of showing their wealth...undoubtedly if not earned by business or others, the “black money”..They have a passion for imported “firangi” goods, luxury cars, stylish clothes and every other thing which can represent their affluence...Let us have a look that how our leaders instead of becoming an icon for leadership are now becoming an style icons of our “poor country”.

Lets begin with the “daughter of dalits”...Yes you guessed it right...we are talking about Ms. Mayawati...the self-assumed daughter of dalits...She calls herself the daughter of dalits but her actions contradict her own statement..She get’s her hair trimmed at a hair saloon in London!!!I think hardly any poor dalit can afford it and she is even quite fond of diamonds...these interests would hardly make other believe that she is the” daughter of dalits” Moving on, Jyotiraditya Sindhia is an other style icon...wearing costly Rolex watches and dressed in the best of suites imported from foreign countries, he gives the models of fashion world a run for their money. Continuing on, Vijay Mallya, a business tycoon and a parliamentarian has definitely established himself as the most stylish person in Indian Politics. It is believed he is the person who has given fellow MP’s the taste of foreign goods...Rajeev Pratap Rudi, Arun Jaitley are in the same lot..It’s believed they have wardrobes housing clothes worth lacs...If we believe the rumours, it was said that Rajeev Pratap Rudi said to his fellow friends that the slippers which he wore at that time where worth 36,000 INR...Unbelievable...Adding honor to the list are the names of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi who have defined a new meaning of “Simple but Costly”..There are many other names such as Amar Singh, Ram Vilas Paswan and others...the list goes on endlessly...except few everyone belongs to the same league..I am not here to write about the filthy richness of these politicians...I am here to ask an explanation...Can anyone explain me how can a MP be so rich??and why only MP...MLA’s are no less...is there any explanation except that they are earning money by misusing their power, are corrupt and every other thing which has a “bad” sign to it…If it’s so then why can’t we do anything??Are we so helpless??It’s a shame...seeing other mother INDIA being stripped off it’s wealth, honor, respect, soul by the hands of these cruel people…It’s such a shame that I feel over-burdened with it...when will the people of India will rise and revolt against this..Surely a revolution is required in order to make India free from their shackles…The unity and sincerity in efforts which was shown after the Mumbai terror attacks by the common mass needs to be demonstrated again…this time these efforts should be in the direction of cleaning the dirt of our politics. Jharkhand is a place which GOD has bestowed with mesmerizing greeneries, beautiful waterfalls, enviable mineral resources..in short Jharkhand is the “chosen child” of GOD when it comes to nature. This place is a heaven for those people who wish to come and play, dance and sleep in the lap of mother nature. It is also a perfect spot for those adventurous sort of people who wish to be among nature.. enjoying exploring deep in the forests, making friendship with animals..it’s also a perfect spot for the picnic buffs who wish to make their picnic parties an unforgettable event..whether it’s the enchanting sounds of the Dasham waterfall or the scenic beauty of Jonha waterfall..the pleasant atmosphere near Hirni waterfall or the fascinating Hundru waterfall and others..Jharkhand is also the proud inheritor of the beautiful Hazaribagh Wildlife Sanctuary and Betla National Park..Jharkhand has all the spices which can make a “nature lover” life delicious… But alas! Jharkhand still lags much behind than other states in terms of tourist count..Even after eight years of formation of this state, hardly any attention has been paid to tourism..blame it on inefficient administration or corrupt politicians, it’s true..100% true..The beautiful waterfalls of Jharkhand remain in wretched state..No attention is being paid to the national park and wildlife sanctuary which has led to exacerbated condition of theirs. Apart from all these the lack of basic infrastructural facilities are adding to the woes..Pot Holed Roads, Unavailability of proper means of transport and communication, lack of proper boarding and resting facilities have severely dented the image of Jharkhand as a tourist spot. Last but not the least, how can we forget the ubiquitous naxalites who roam freely in Jharkhand. Who would like to explore nature at the cost of their lives..at least not me..

Jharkhand possess a tremendous potential of becoming a tourist hot spot. What is needed is a determination to change the course of matters. A proper plan with a good team and support of ministers can totally change the scenario. Developing basic infrastructure, providing facilities, bettering the conditions of tourist spots will definitely help. These changes will definitely attract hordes of “nature lovers” This will also help in making Jharkhand prosper as input of tourists will definitely create new chances of employment to thousands of people and in the course will also help in economic progress of poor Jharkhand.

Presently Jharkhand is regarded only as a “mineral rich” place but after such developments people will start calling it as a “tourist rich” place…Here in Jharkhand lies the unending possibilities in the field of tourism which needs to be explored..

What’s your Say???

Environment Pollution:-We Need to Stop it

Today, Environment Pollution has become one of the biggest problem which the world is currently facing. Slowly and slowly this problem has taken a gigantic proportion and now it poses a threat to the very existence of human beings and others!!

All across the globe, population is growing.. especially the developing countries where there is no tab on population growth and hence they are facing the problem of population explosion. In a way man itself is the cause of environment pollution..ya.. more the population.. more the pollution.. take a look.. more men means more requirement of food, more space for accommodation, more factories for production of necessities, more vehicles for them and this list goes on..but in order to cater the increased demand, more trees are slashed down grow crops, build factories, build houses etc..more factories and vehicles means more smoke, more pollution and hence environmental pollution!! Therefore population control is the first step in tackling this problem.

Planting trees is the other step…more trees means more fresh air, more greenery, more oxygen less carbon di oxide and hence no global warming , no soil erosion and others. Planting plants is the one of the easiest way of controlling the menace of environment pollution. Worldwide, the governments should try to awaken their inhabitants and let them know about the benefits of planting trees. Though various steps have been taken across the world but still the desired result has yet not been achieved.

With the advent of industrialization, not only the world progressed but the level of environment pollution also increased a lot…production of chemicals, smoke CFC’S has badly affected our environment. The depletion of Ozone layer has made we humans vulnerable to the harmful effects of Sun rays…Though, now the CFC’S have been banned all across the globe but much needs to be done..The factories should be regulated so that they follow the norms of pollution, sophisticated devices such as particle arresters, catalytic converters and others should be used widely making our air less populated.

River’s all across the world have been polluted especially in India where the conditions have reached the extremes..Water is the very soul of our daily lives..we must not pollute it..If we don’t stop polluting waters only we the ultimate in FOOD CHAIN is going to suffer and that too after The so called BIO MAGNIFICATION making it more harmful.Even the unjustified use of fertilizers have even led to soil pollution..We need to stop all these pollution otherwise Earth will no longer remain a place to dwell..It's True...

What we need is to strike a chord between industrialization and environment pollution by taking various measure..no doubt industrialization is required for the development of mankind but environment is required for the very basic existence…Becoming rich would not help if we won’t live! Hence, a balance is needed which could cater to both needs….

What’s your Say???

Unemployment In India:-A Very Grave Problem

India is a vast country and so are it’s problems..Poverty, Population Explosion, Unemployment, Caste Differences and what not else..you name it and it’s here..Undoubtedly the foreigners left no chance of snapping away the feathers of this “GOLDEN BIRD” but even after more than 60 years of independence the problem of unemployment is still the biggest hurdle in the process of the development of this country.

Elimination of unemployment was one of the chief objectives of every FIVE YEAR PLANS and why only five year plans..various other plans were started and they even exist today.. but how successful they have been???We all know the truth..In one of the reports published in a national paper, it was reported that for a vacancy of two posts of sweeper in Delhi Municipal Corporation, 10,000 applications were received. Though the educational requirement for the post was 8th standard pass, but the applicants educational qualification ranged from B. Tech to M.A….Unbelievable.. but yes it’s true..Such was the condition that in order to select the correct person for the job of SWEEPER, interviews were taken!!!!..This report showed the truth about the level of unemployment in India..

Today the problem is not that there are no vacancies..Industrialization has led to the development of various companies…these companies require man force at every level …right from guards to managers..if in a company there is a vacancy of 200 persons, the companies would receive 20,000 applications but still chose no one why??The fault lies not in their selection process but in ourselves which itself is a result of ill-planned educational system.

In India, educational system is totally unplanned…there has never been a proper assessment of what the industrial sector or other sectors need in which job opportunities are available..The same age-old things are being taught everywhere…Even the father of our nation Mahatma Gandhi criticized the Indian educational system and said..”Our educational system is defective..it certainly does not caters to the need of India”. Even at the topmost level of education there is a crunch of resources, teachers, materials sophisticated gadgets, equipments and everything which other proper university has..Many of the colleges don’t even have science department in their colleges as they can’t afford the costly setup of these..Most of the students graduating in humanities group end up being added as an another ‘Educated but Unemployed’ group member..Such is the condition
What is needed is a proper assessment and survey of what is required by the private companies and public sector and then should develop courses which should cater to the needs. At one time there was a craze of becoming an engineer and this led to spawning of various spurious colleges and students enrolled in such colleges were left no where..Such was the trend that every other student wished to become an engineer..this led to an excess and now engineers which don’t have skill are unemployed..Presently same is the case with MBA..nowadays everyone wishes to have a degree in management..right from engineer’s to graduates..everyone..and now the excess of MBA’S have led to unemployment ..Much is needed to be done in the betterment of the educational field.

It will be only after this developments and betterments in our educational policy and system that our country will also start producing skilled man-force competent enough to beat the best ..then only will India get freedom from this unending evil….

What’s your Say???

India:-A Poor Country of Rich People

India is a poor country of rich people…It does sound quite paradoxical but Yes….it’s true…. India was once recognized as the “GOLDEN BIRD” but after the rule of foreigners the feathers of this golden bird were snapped away from its body..The present scenario is no much better…What was done by the earlier rulers is now being done by the politicians of our country and the tradesman of that era has been replaced by the businessman of our times..

Actually now India stands divided in many parts…Let us consider the bottommost part and the uppermost part. .Bottommost part consists of the people who are even not able to afford two square meals a day..they don’t know what luxury means..their whole day is spent just in finding food to quench their hunger..There are farmers in India who commit suicide due to various reasons ranging from pressure of payment of loans to low productivity..there are people who are living in such squalid conditions that we can’t imagine..there are still people in India who don’t have access to electricity…People in India are still dying due to starvation, still in many villages, residents have no proper sanitation facilities, good quality drinking water, people are still dying due to age-old diseases such as malaria, cholera..all this is happening after more than 60 years of Independence!!!On the other hand there are politicians, businessman, actors and others who can afford every luxury of life….They can pay their exorbitant bills without batting an eyelid…they enjoy Italian, Continental, Thai, Chinese and other such foods which for the poor multitude still remains a dream.. The hard earned money by the common people is squandered by our politicians on luxurious cars, big homes, flats, condos… there are men in this poor country who spend millions of rupees on marriage, birthday, anniversaries ,festivities and other such occasions. Recently in Jharkhand, one of the ministers spent about ten million rupees on the birthday of his son..but no one dares to ask how he managed to earn so much money..more than 25,000 people were invited and dance bands were called from other states..such is the ostentatious way of living of a minister of a poor state such as Jharkhand..Jharkhand who is still one of the most underdeveloped state even having so much natural resources and eight years of self-independence!! Moving on…there are people in this country who can afford to send helicopters to bring their daughter’s bridegroom, there are men who hold marriages on aircrafts, ships.. men who can afford to book entire 5 Star hotels and palaces for marriages, party.. men who distribute invitation cards by dispersing them from helicopters!!Such is the scenario of our modern India…On one side there is abject poverty and on the other implausible richness…Much is needed to be done to remove the ever increasing disparity between the poor’s and the rich…Mere appearance of few names from India in the Forbes list of rich men of the world will not help India prosper..Some rock solid action is required to remove this big disparity..This will only make a better India to live ..It will surely bring prosperity to the whole India and happiness on everyone’s faces…....

For me the sentence India:-A Poor Country of Rich People is hardly Paradoxical…….

What’s your Say???

Reservation Policy:-Is It Fulfilling It’s Role???

India is a democratic country…A country where everyone has an equal right to development. Keeping this notion in mind, our policy makers introduced the concept of “Reservation”. This concept was introduced for uplifting the neglected or the underdeveloped sections of the society. Special provisions were made which gave these sections an “advantage” over the general or developed section. Initially the provision of reservation was introduced for only a limited years of time expecting that the underdeveloped sections will rise to the level of general section and hence equality will prevail.. but alas..our so called ‘revered’ politicians in order to gain political mileage continued to support the reservation theory and today this reservation thing has became the biggest “menace” or ”social evil” of our society.

No doubt that reservation was made for the betterment of our society..A society where exists no disparity..but what I want to ask is that has reservation policy succeeded in its mission??Has it been able to remove the social tensions which existed before?? the answer is a big “NO” Reservation had its merit ..but it failed in the bigger mission..Today such are the conditions that instead of strengthening the bond between people, it has exacerbated the conditions. Today, the tension which has developed due to reservation is not hidden..the general’s are desperate to prove their worth but all in vain...such is the lure of gaining votes that in some states upto 100% reservation was being provided to the regional people!!.. thanks to the supreme court ruling that probihited them from carrying out their plans!! What I want to highlight is not only the reservation which is being provided to SC,ST, OBC or other but the dirty game which the politicians play to accumulate “regional” votes. This is certainly a grave problem because it has severely dented the image of India as a state where everyone possesses an equal right....I am not against reservation.. I think it’s still needed..but the reservation surely needs some moderation and proper implementation too.. I have even a different view of reservation ..Instead of providing reservation at higher levels government should look strengthening the base of the underdeveloped. Its during the initial periods of life that one develops an attitude towards life...Special programs regarding primary education, food, and other’s is needed to to be created for them.. the Government should see that they are properly educated, nourished and are given enough opportunities of development.. this will make them at –par with the generals and hence will fulfill the dream of the policy makers.. apart from these, our policy makers for sure know more than me about how to make them developed…reservations at higher level has created discontentment among general society…not only it creates discontentment but also badly effects the quality of man-force being developed in India…Providing equality at upper level will definitely give or country better doctor’s, engineer’s, administrator’s and others and this for sure will make India prosper and it’s citizens happy….

What's your Say??

More attacks on Bihari’s:-Are we really living in a secular state??

Once again on 19/10/2008,members of the MNS political party, a political party who though is in the stage of infancy but wishes to “become big” by playing the cheap regionalism card attacked students hailing from Bihar. These students were in Mumbai in order to to give an examination conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board. This is not the first time when “BIHARI’S” have been attacked. Previously, much more violent attacks have been made and even derogatory statements regarding “BIHARI’S” have been voiced by the leader of MNS party, Raj Thackeray. The local government failure in stopping these attacks have completely shown their inefficiency or lack of concern about these important matters!!whatever be the cause…what I want to ask is “Are Bihari’s not Indians??”and if the answer is “Yes” then why they are being treated so badly all over India??.Not only in Maharashtra but even Delhi has adopted an unfavourable attitude towards Bihari’s..Are they not aware that India is a SECULAR state and everyone residing in India has an equal right to stay anywhere and earn a livelihood..Why the local government as well as the central government is adopting a lenient policy on this matter???Our revered politicians have nothing else to do except making the same age-old criticizing statements against the concerned political party…why just statements and why not solid action???This situation has really raised a very serious question …“Would India be able to maintain its secular nature in the Future????”

What’s your Say??

Becoming an IAS Officer:-A Dream Come True

IAS which is considered to be the “GOD” of all examinations held in India stands for Indian Administrative Services. It is undoubtedly the most desired examination for a person preparing for civil services. In general terms IAS itself includes IPS,IFS and other such posts related to administration.

This examination is conducted by Union Public Services Commission (UPSC)often humorously reffered by some students as Unpredictable Public Service Commission at an All-India level. This examination consists of three stages

(1)Preliminary Test:-This is an objective type test and consists of GS and Optional Paper. This test also has the rule of negative marking. Every year about 50% of the 3.5-4 lacs applicants appear in the test.

(2)Mains:-Round about 5,000 people who get selected in the preliminary stage appear in mains. The Mains paper is an essay type paper and consists of two optional papers ,compulsory GS(General Studies)Paper and an Essay Paper which is common to all.

(3) Personality Test:-Also known as Interview, this is the last test.1100-1200 students appear for the Interviews who get selected in the Mains. Interview Boards are headed by the member of UPSC and subject experts.
Lastly, only 400-500 students are selected according to the vacancies.
It is believed that success rate in PT is inversely proportional to the number of candidates.More the number, less the chances and please don’t forget your hardwork.

In the anteceding years the salaries of the employees in corporate sector have risen obscenely, students of premier management institutes are being deluged with offers from MNC’S and the proposed salaries of these offer’s range from 1 Crore-2 Crore per annum!!!But interestingly a survey conducted by Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industries of India, Civil services remain the 1st choice of Youth .It is rightly so because becoming an IAS officer gives you Status,Satisfaction and Security which are quite missing in Private Jobs….If not all the properties…one is for sure that is “Security..”
For Mentors, Guru’s and Coaches. Cracking this exam is an “art” and subjects like History, Public Administration, Psychology ,Philosophy, Geography have emerged as popular subjects on account of their high success rates.

If we have a close look we can find that most of the students who appear for this examination hail from Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and other major hindi speaking portions of India.
Delhi in this regard has emerged as the most preferred state for IAS preparation. Availability of all the needed resources and the most important very qualified teachers is making Delhi a hub for the preparation.Preparation for this examination at Delhi is not a cheap show….Success often comes at hefty prices…a student has to shell out more than 50,000 on coaching and round about 50,000-60,000 is spent on fooding and lodging. This clearly depicts that students having a rich background have an advantage over poor ones..

UPSC has also been severely criticized by students for not disclosing the marks and even the copy checking methodology of UPSC is disputed. In an affidavit filled in in Delhi High Court ,UPSC said that after each additional examiner returns the copy back to UPSC,(The Copies are checked at examiner’s home)the head examiner then randomly checks the copies to see whether the norms have been followed or not.Depending upon the standard of the additional examiner, the head examiner then suggests an upward or downward moderation of marks depending upon the liberality or strictness followed by the additional examiner.
Here LUCK comes into play.Let us suppose that the head examiner happens to pick out copies of 5 “below average”students in the bunch of 50 students then the whole 50 students marks will be up-moderated!!!Same is another case..if by chance the head examiner picks up copies of 5 “above average”students then the whole bunch of students marks are “down moderated”!!
So if you wish to crack this examination…ask your GOD for some luck too!!
Here are some strictly “VERY BASIC” notes of caution while preparing for this examination.

1>Always have other plans ready in case you don’t succeed in this examination.

2>Join a reliable institute and keep in touch with successful and hard working students.

3>Always keep an eye on editorial of esteemed newspapers and not to forget that always take the official stand on matters of dispute such as Kashmir and others.

4>Never lets hopelessness engulf you and never feel dejected or get depressed.

5>This exam is not easy if you don’t have a solid support system. This examination does not require intellect or lot of intelligence..what you need is some smart study, ability to decipher the pattern, working hard..and whoa you succeed in the examination.

6>If you succeed in the examination..it’s good bout if you fail then just think that you have been made for something much bigger.
Last but not the least, ask GOD to give you the chunk of LUCK which you will desperately require to crack the examination.

What’s your Say???
<img width='1' height='1' are not educated then to think about the overall development of the country will just be a waste because no country could develop without a base of educated people..Someone rightly remarked...”Educated people are the most precious belongings of a country” .In short education is an essential criterion for development.

India was also once recognized as a global center of education. Not only the Indian scholars but scholars of foreign nations also felt proud in studying in world renowned universities such as Nalanda, Kashi and other such universities...and the sheer ambience of this environment produced geniuses like Aryabhatta, Ramanujan,Raman and a host of others..but today the whole educational system of India is ramshackle. Our educational system is so unplanned that it has completely failed in providing good education. This unplanned educational system is affecting the whole process of development. Mere having a nuclear deal won’t take our country to the heights of prosperity or development...What the Indians still need is a good educational system...Only this will make our country more prosperous and developed.

Let us begin with the beginning of one’s education that is the ‘primary education’. In India this is the most neglected part...but actually it is the most important part...Its only in the primary stages where a student inculcates the spirit of learning, understanding...neglecting this results in making education a boring thing for them hence they divert from it and abandon the path of development.
Actually in India primary education is in very sordid state...Whether cities or villages, each primary school run by the government have the same story to tell…The buildings of this school are in wretched conditions...there are hardly any tables-benches and even if there are some they are in such a old-tattered condition that they are hardly used.In the name of students one can find few half naked, dirty clothed student running here and there without any one to care about them. There are teacher’s assigned to these schools but these teachers are so much involved in their household works that they could hardly take out any time from their busy schedule for the schools..but yes when the month end’s and the time comes for collecting pay-packets these same teacher’s who had no time to come to school can be found waiting eagerly for their payment…What a shame..but alas it’s true…Though not in villages but in cities many private nursery and primary schools are there and the quality of education provided by them is also good but the hefty sums, donations which they ask to be paid as fees and others are out of reach even of the middle class person..hence only the lucky few avail quality education.

Same is the case with middle, secondary and senior secondary stages...lack of dedicated teachers, good buildings, amenities, funds are all affecting the quality of education.Due to this good education at an affordable cost has become a distant dream. Many of the meritorious student lose their way in between due to such problems.Private schools here also steal the show where highly qualified teachers impart education in a calm and serene ambience,Facilities of International quality is provided, extra curricular activities are done, good labs are provided but all these are provided at high costs making it out of reach from the common masses.

Education at University level show no big difference. Colleges and seats are few but the admission seekers are many. Even at the topmost level of education, there is scarcity of lecturers and professors. There is lack of vocational courses,Teacher:Student ratio is quite high, Labs are not up to the mark and many other problems plague government run universities. Some of the good colleges who are bestowed with good facilities keep their cut-off percentage so high that these again are out of reach for the general students .Apart from all these educational problems…there is a lot of red –tapism, political interference, reservation which makes pursuing higher education at affordable costs a dream for a common Indian. In most of the government run engineering, medical colleges on can find relatives of some big shot politician studying...they are their not due to their merit but due to political power of their relative..Students who come under the reservation scanner make the condition worse as they get preference over meritorious students even if they lack knowledge. Talented students are left with no measures as they can’t go for private medical or engineering college’s as the fees of these college’s are exorbitant hence these students opt for some run-of-the-mill courses. Actually this is not a loss of the student but in fact this is the loss of country because only due to red-tapism, bureaucracy, reservation the country loses a worthy doctor or engineer who could have been a great asset for the country.

There are various students who score less marks and hence fail to get admitted to normal schools or colleges…the government should setup more universities such as IGNOU to facilitate their study and allow them to run the rave with their counterparts.

India in fact requires a revamping of its educational policy…Not only in course contents but in implementation of policy...Opening more colleges,Providing more options of vocational courses ,accountability must be added to teaching, eay accessibility to schools by students as well as teachers should be ensured, teachers who are already employed in chool and colleges should be banned from teaching in coaching institutes ,strict rules must be made for teachers, lecturers, professors and others to make sure that they teach and not just refrain from it..Proper funds must be provided, conditions of schools, colleges need to be ameliorated...bureaucracy, red tapism must be curbed and it must be ensured that reservation reaches to the needy. There are various other things which must be planned out and implemented efficiently.

In the last I would like to say that India needs a complete makeover of its educational policy. Right from nursery to PhD and higher.Governent should make a big plan and implement it stepwise so that the educational policy caters to all the needs of a student. Right from moral development to employment. Instead of forming commission and making reports, the government should work at grass root level in order to make it a educational policy a success…Infact what I wish is that education should be made our constitutional right…Right to Education.

What’s your say??

Apple’s iPhone:-The Much Hyped Gadget

Umm…If a person asks someone to rank products according to the “HYPE” created, then for sure Apple”s iPhone will top the charts…This device has even left Playstation3 much behind in terms of publicity but the question is “IS THE iPhone WORTH OF THIS MUCH HYPE???”Well before answering this question we will have to look at the Pro’s and Con’s of this device….Lets first look at the Pro’s of this gadget.

Pro’s :-

1.>This Phone consists of an enviable 3.5 inch Touchscreen offering astonishingly high resolution of480x320 which is undoubtedly quite high for a mobile device.

2.>The iPhone in it’s self consist of an iPod hence there is no necessity to carry a burden of one more device for your entertainment needs.

3.> Call clarity and Call reception is good.

4.>It also boast of a nice Graphic User Interface(GUI)which makes phone navigation amazingly easy.

5.>Video and Audio quality is very nice.

6.>It supports Microsoft Exchange Server.

7.>This iPhone Is also packed with the Apple’s coveted internet browser”SAFARI”which makes internet browsing a cakewalk.

8.>It even boasts of built in GPS Receiver,Quad Band support, Wi-Fi,Bluetooth 2.0,TV Out and others.

9.>The new additions which can hardly be found in other phones include Accelerometer and Proximity sensor.

10>.The weight of this heavyperformer is a mere 135 grams!!

Con’s :-

1.>There is no video recording in this device...Oh my God..It's unbelievable

2.>In India, this phone is presently available at very high price as compares to U.S.In India this phone is available at 30k above making it very undesirable for the Indians.

3.>At such sky-rocketing price this phone has an average camera of just 2 megapixels!!!and that to without any flash..it’s a shame and adding to the shame is the fact that there is no video recording…huhh

4.>The Battery of iPhone is not user replaceable!! Ya…You heard it right…the user of iPhone cannot replace battery when the battery dies out…i.e as like the normal phones of which you can change the batteries yourself and even keep spare batteries to be used in times of need…iPhone does’nt gives you this feature….a major setback indeed.

5>.The Bluetooth of iPhone is crippled…Following the league of Apple’s other gadgets (For example iPod) the user of iPhone cannot transfer contacts to other phone..same is the case with multimedia file sharing…It’s completely disgusting man….

6.>There is no voice dialing!!! I just want to ask the CEO of Apple that do he consider voice dialing as an extravagant feature??? but on the contrary voice dialing has become a means of convenience man…Wake up..Mr CEO……

7.>Hey..For Youngsters omission of this feature is a major setback..Apple has not given the luxury of assigning your favourite mp3 or other songs, tones in different format as your ringtone…..My God…How can they omit this feature..but it’s true and tunes provided only by the Apple company can be set as your ringtone…though new ringtones can be purchased at Apple’s site.

8.>There is any support for MMS!!!!Neither there is any support for sending multiple SMS'es.. It’s Unbelievable.

9.>There is no A2DP i.e there will no bluetooth audio streaming!!!!

10.>The screen looks very fragile and it does’nt looks that it can resist breaking down when dropped on some rough surface.

11.>The 3G reception is quite shaky.Even GPS facility is not upto the mark.

12.>The 3.5mm port does’nt works with many commercially available earphones i.e you have to remain stuck with the headphones provided by Apple or some other company. For example if headphones of CREATIVE or SENHEISER does’nt works with it then what??This will definitely sting those users who are always in a search of better quality of headphones for good music(Though it is being said iPhone 3G supports all earphones)

13.>The battery dies very quickly if used by some battery intensive works.

14.>You can sync this device with only one computer.

Apart from the above mentioned negative points there are definitely some other major con’s too such as no support for Copy -Paste sytem, you can’t use this device large memory as a mass storage device,no memory expansion,no support for flash files when browsing and others..

This was the comparative review of the iPhone..A person with normal intelligence can himself figure out whether to go for iPhone or not…But if you seek my advice then I would say…wait for some time..let the prices come down, let there be some other software updates removing the flaws and others but if you are not price conscious and want to make a style statement then I would love to say…Go Own It..Flaunt it……..It will definitely establish you as a style icon…

What’s your say??

Reality Shows:-Are they really real???

Take a look at the TRP’S of the various shows being aired on various satellite channels and one can say without any hesitation that reality shows have become the hot favorite of the audiences of various age groups.Right from teenagers to people belonging to old age ,these shows are ruling their hearts. In short we can say that these reality shows have become the flavor of the channels. The big names in entertainment industry such as SONY,ZEE TV, STAR NETWORK have been airing various reality shows in the past and now they are adding new reality shows whereas new entrants in this industry such as COLORS, SAHARA ONE and others are also following the suite…But the question here is not that how much popular they are..The question which is being raised here is that “ARE THESE REALITY SHOWS REALLY REAL???”

Tune into any of these reality shows and the first thing which will strike you will be acerbic exchange of words between judges themselves….the judges which are eminent in their respective fields resort to such techniques in order to prove their point!!!!These exchanges of word creates sensational waves among viewers...Other than this as according to the show format various other techniques are practiced in order to make the show sensational..The common techniques which are employed are

1>Fights between the contestants.

2>Highly dramatic emotional appeals by the contestants and even by the judges to the viewers of the show to send votes to their favorite contestant(s).

3>Electrifying emotional sequences at the time of vote out.

There are various other methods employed and if I start to jot them all this post will become a waste…What keeps the viewer glued to their television set are the vicarious feelings of an viewer when he /she watches one of their favorite judges, contestants crying, laughing, enjoying…The Directors and Producers of these show try to entangle the viewers in a web of emotions and this results in making a big audience base which further results in a higher TRP’S and which further leads to more number of advertisement by the advertisers..We Indians are known as “EMOTIONAL FOOLS “and not only we even the people of foreign nations are big fans of these reality shows...

All the Emotional/Dramatic scenes have become in such an excess in these shows that even a moron person can understand that these are not natural and hence undoubtedly are WELL PLANNED,FABRICATED,CONCOCTED..hence they hardly stand as a reality show…
What I would like to say that these reality shows hardly depict any reality and in the last “THE ONLY REALITY OF THESE REALITY SHOWS IS THAT THEY ARE UNREAL”

What’s Your Say??
<img width='1' was born with a silver spoon in his mouth...he got all the facilities which he wished....no doubts here most of the facilities were provided by his affluent father and not by the government....right from a rifle worth four lacs to a personal shooting range...do a common Indian has an access to all such modern facilities???Undoubtedly its a big NO....The facilities provided by the State Government and the Central Government are not upto the mark which is required to bag gold, silver, bronze medals at prestigious sports events...well in this sense much tribute can be paid to our boxers who were from a humble background and did achieved a honourable position just by their sheer hardwork...even in the crunch of facilities they made us feel proud....they touched the hearts of the common Indian who is always burdened under the load of crunches.....the boxers do appear as more real ideal than Abhinav Bindra.....What's your say?????
<img width='1'
